Wow! Love Christmas Time!

What a great Christmas! With no plans, it turned out to be perfect! Family visits, good food, 4 AM  airport trip in jammies a few days before 😅 

Was just really nice! I hope everyone had a great Holiday, however you spent it! Much love.

State of Our Country

I don’t share or post many opinions on things like Religion, Politics, Abortion, Marriage. The hot topics right now. 

I’ve learned, after about a billion years on social media, it just doesn’t pay to share these opinions. Business or other. You either offend people or lose friends because of what you believe, versus what they do. It’s a shallow universe on social media, for the most part. 

Also, social media has given me more opportunities than anything or anyone else. It’s been great. 

People just have a hard time agreeing to disagree and move on anymore. You do you, I’ll do me, it’s all good ✌🏻

You’re entitled to your opinion, as am I. And everyone else too. Peace and love. 🙌🏻

Marry Christmas From Our House To Yours

Well, it’s that wonderful time again! These last few years have been kind of crazy.  But, at this time it seems better. Whatever is happening, it’s just my favorite time of year. I’m excited! 

I sure hope everyone has great holiday season! Love your peeps. Give a gift of hope. Pay it forward if you can, if not I hope you receive a blessing that you deserve.

 I admit it. I love carbs!! I know, I know, it’s not good. 

But, I also love just about everything on this here list! 🤣 There is always room for adjustments, right? 🤷‍♀️

Overstimulated Not Angry

 Can we talk about the fact that moms get overstimulated and it’s mistaken for anger? 

No, I’m not angry; 

I’ve just heard mom mom mom since the minute I got home, the tv is on 88, the dryer going, someone’s mowing the lawn, my Apple Watch dinging non stop, my shirts too tight, my hair isn’t in a messy bun correctly, there’s crumbs on the floor and I can FEEL it

I’m not angry

 I’m overstimulated and need a minute to get myself together 😫

Motherhood is exhausting

No matter what someone always needs you

Go to work; someone needs you, come home; someone needs you, go to sleep; someone needs you, shower time; someone needs you, going to the bathroom; someone needs you. 

A child, a baby, an adult I’M ALWAYS NEEDED. 

I’m not angry 🤍 I’m overstimulated 

Let me collect myself before you start to accuse me of being in a bad mood. I just need a minute 🥲

Seven Layer Greek Dip

Sunny’s Easy 7-layer Gyro Dip

INGREDIENTS:

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup finely grated white onion (on the smallest holes of the box grater)

1 large clove garlic, grated on a rasp

1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano

1 pound ground lamb

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

8 ounces roasted garlic or red pepper hummus

4 ounces feta, crumbled

4 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced small

1/2 English cucumber, seeded and diced small

8 ounces tzatziki dip (store-bought or homemade)

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh dill

Pita chips, for serving

Layer hummus, meat, cheese, tomato, cucumber, dip and dill. Serve with pita chips or naan. 

Pepper Jelly Cheese Dip

Oh yum this looks so good! Might be at my summer party!

Squirrel Thug Life

There was a giant squirrel on the grass in our backyard, my husband opened the door and yelled “hey, get off my lawn”. I swear that squirrel turned around with his hands on his hips and just glared  at us, then ran up the tree 🤣🤣 👀🐿

Spring Is In The Air

I love this time of year!! The fresh air, cool windy days, open windows. The chirping birds! 

I’m so glad that I’m able to enjoy these days and not be stuck inside all day. I can hear the kids next door giggling and screaming as they’re getting in the cold pool. The baby ducks will be waddling down the street with mom and dad any day now.

We get Easter, birthdays, spring break, perfect weather, all good times ahead.
